Barbara joined Chambers as a tenant after successful completion of her pupillage in 2023 under the supervision of Suzanne Hodgkiss.
Prior to joining Chambers Barbara developed significant experience working with victims of domestic abuse who were going through court public and private family proceedings. She also volunteers at Support Through the Court.
Barbara is regularly instructed at all stages of Children Act proceedings including multi-day fact-finding hearings, contested final hearings and directions hearings. She regularly represents parents in cases that involve issues of sexual abuse and rape, domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health, contact disputes and parental alienation. Barbara is also instructed to represent parties in respect of Family Law Act proceedings including non-molestation orders, prohibited steps order, specific issue orders and occupation orders.
Barbara accepts instructions in public family law matters including case management hearings and contested removal hearings.
Barbara is instructed to represent claimants and defendants in small-claims hearings involving credit hire and road traffic accidents.
Outside of court Barbara enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
