Harry was called to the Bar in 2003 and quickly established a respected reputation as an effective and dedicated advocate with an exceptional record of success.
Harry undertakes a wide range of civil and commercial work having gained extensive experience of civil litigation including probate, credit hire, personal injury, and consumer credit.
As part of Halcyon Chambers’ Probate team, Harry undertakes a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious probate, wills, and estate matters – acting on behalf of clients in proceedings, varying across administration of estates, claims for the removal of personal representatives, challenges to wills and applications for orders to facilitate the administration of estates.
Harry acts for Claimants, Defendants and Neutral Personal Representatives and is well regarded for his approach to both clients and the opposition. Harry is a skilled advocate and has deft touch when giving advice and dealing with proceedings that are often complicated by the emotions involved in a family dispute following a bereavement. Harry is always approachable and sympathetic while at the same time can be relied upon to vigorously protect his clients’ best interests.
Most recently Harry, as part of Halcyon’s Motor Finance Team, has become involved in defending motor finance claims. These claims centre on allegations of unfair relationships, arising out of allegations of secret commissions taken by Brokers of motor finance agreements. This rapidly developing area of litigation offers fresh challenges to Defendants, and advocates alike, and presents opportunities which Halcyon’s team embrace.
Harry offers a wealth of knowledge and a determined approach, applied to achieve the best possible result for his clients at all times. Harry is well-known for his pragmatism, provides realistic and clear advice and is an exceptional advocate. Always well prepared, he provides a skilful service and returns outstanding results.
Regularly instructed by both commercial clients and private individuals, Harry is pleased to accept both privately and publicly funded work and accepts instructions on a Direct Access basis, and is authorised by the Bar Standards Board to conduct litigation.
