Barbara was called to the Bar in 2022 after undertaking the BPTC at the University of Law, Birmingham and reading law at the University of Birmingham. Barbara was the recipient of the Denise Pannick Scholarship from the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn and the Advocacy Scholarship from the University of Law.

Barbara is undertaking a common law pupillage with a focus on family law under the supervision of Suzanne Hodgkiss, and is accepting instructions in Family, Civil and Immigration law from 4 October 2022.

During pupillage Barbara has gained extensive experience in all areas of family law. She has observed cases which involve issues around domestic and sexual abuse, substance misuse, contact disputes and financial remedy issues. Barbara has observed a full range of hearings in both private and public law matters involving local authorities, parents and guardians.

Barbara has experienced a broad range of small and fast-track civil hearings involving credit hire, road traffic accidents and debt recovery.

Prior to pupillage, Barbara worked as a Support Worker for a Charity that helped survivors of domestic abuse and volunteered at Support Through Court throughout her legal studies.

Outside of work, Barbara enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
