Emma-Justine has commenced a common law pupillage in October 2025 under the supervision of Katie Wilkinson across civil, family and immigration law. She will start the practising period of her pupillage in April 2026.
Prior to starting pupillage, Emma-Justine was a trainee legal adviser in the Family Court at Birmingham, where she gained invaluable experience advising Magistrates on the law in private law children’s proceedings.
Previously, she developed her advocacy skills as a county court advocate. She represented clients in a diverse array of civil matters including road traffic accident, consumer rights, credit hire, landlord & tenant and disputed parking charges.
Emma-Justine graduated from the double degree LLB licence English and French Law at the University of Essex partnered with the University Lyon III in France. She subsequently obtained a Masters of Criminal Law from the University Lyon III and worked as an intern in a Criminal Law firm in Paris.
