Chris has enjoyed a long and successful career as a Clerk in Birmingham since starting out in 2001.  Having commenced work initially as a Junior Clerk at a large, established national Chambers, he thereafter rose through the ranks at a number of sets on the Midland Circuit.

Following his appointment as Senior Clerk, Chris was instrumental in the management and initial set up of 43 Temple Row Chambers in 2009.  In 2019, Chris worked closely with the Management Committee in launching Halcyon Chambers, being heavily involved in strategy development, the re-branding process, and marketing which resulted in a seamless transition to new premises.

With direct responsibility for the management of the clerks’ room and the general administration of Chambers, Chris has contributed significantly to Halcyon’s growth and success.    

Chris is both supportive and effective with regards to practice development, and is to be commended for his approachability and business acumen.  2018 was a particularly proud year for Chris, having seen through two judicial appointments for Halcyon Barristers.  

Away from Chambers, Chris is a doting father to his two young girls and enjoys a varied social life which includes music, theatre and sport.
